The annual black carbon emissions from ships are summarized. Taken Chinese coastal areas in 2018 as the target area, the characteristics of annual ship activities are analyzed. Based on the data of Automatic Identification System (AIS), the annual black carbon emissions from ships are calculated, the characteristics of annual black carbon emissions from ships are analyzed according to the calculation results, and the suggestions on black carbon emission reduction from ships in Chinese coastal areas are proposed.
