Abstract:In order to provide reference basis for the calculation parameters of hydrodynamic performance of mono-hull ship form based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), the relevant convergence analysis is made. The influence of grid scale, turbulence model, and time step on the convergence of ship hydrodynamic calculation is analyzed with the CFD numerical calculation, the optimization parameter model of ship hydrodynamic calculation based on CFD is proposed, and the accuracy of the proposed scheme is verified by the pool model test. It is able to more reasonably simulate the motion response of a ship in the regular waves to mesh the fluid computational domain with an unstructured grid with a ship length of 2.83%, to use the Realizable k-ε turbulence model, and to take the calculation time step as 1/200 of the wave encounter period Te, which can provide the determination basis for the ship resistance and seakeeping calculation based on CFD.
