Taken a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) in the South China Sea as an example, the characteristics of upper production module and gantry crane of FPSO are introduced, the lifting simulation and structure design are conducted, and the lifting scheme is determined. The scheme can greatly save the acquisition cost and project cycle, and play a positive role in the project cost control.
