When the optimization of hull bow wave making resistance of a high-speed passenger ship at multiple speeds is performed with the Friendship full parameterized modeling software and SHIPFLOW fluid calculation software, the characteristic parameters are required as the design variables. The sensitivity of characteristic parameters is analyzed with the Sobol optimization algorithm, and the insensitive characteristic parameters are eliminated, which can effectively reduce the dimension of design space, thus improve the calculation efficiency and save the time and cost. The research results are of certain practical value in engineering.
