The characteristics of shipbuilding industry in our country and the application examples of intelligent manufacturing in the shipbuilding at home and abroad are analyzed. Combined with the policy direction of “Made in China 2025” and intelligent manufacturing, the outline of future China intelligent shipbuilding field is described, the application feasibility of intelligent shipbuilding is predicted from the angles such as management, hardware, software, disruptive technologies, and the intelligent shipbuilding in our country is prospected.
