Combined with the fundamental characteristics of the 316L stainless steel pipe, the process of procurement, production, transportation, protection and welding is discussed based on the actual ship design and construction management. The effective measures in management and control of production, arrangement, installation and inspection are also collated. The analysis provides a basis for the design, management and control of 316L stainless steel pipes of chemical tankers, thereby promoting the construction quality of chemical tankers.
