Abstract:LNG floating transfer barges are characterized by low cost, short construction period, high efficiency. At the same time, the transfer barge makes the transmission of LNG more convenient and fast. However, in case of leakage on the LNG transfer barge, due to the special characteristics of LNG itself, the harm caused by it is extremely serious, of which the pool fire is the most likely to occur and is the most serious form of fire, the pool fire flame has a radiant effect on the outside, and when the heat radiation reaches the limit value, it will cause incalculable damage to the equipment arranged on the transfer barge as well as the personnel concerned. This paper takes the transfer barge as a model and a domestic port as an operating environment, and uses the fire dynamics simulation software Pyrosim to carry out numerical simulation, to study the influence of thermal radiation of pool fire under leaking conditions, to compare the influence of wind speed and wind direction on thermal radiation, and to calculate the minimum safe distance of thermal radiation under specific conditions, so as to provide a certain reference for the safe arrangement of the LNG transfer barge and similar problems. This will provide a reference for the safe arrangement of LNG transshipment barge and similar problems.
