Abstract:Aiming at the problems exposed in the LNG bunkering for the world"s first 209K DWT Newcastle dual-fuel bulk carrier project, such as long operation cycle, excessive material consumption, and difficult process control, the analysis of a large number of process data and software simulation was carried out to find the process problems. Based on the data analysis and software simulation results, the current filling process was optimized from the aspects of operation granularity, step sequence rationality and parameter setting accuracy. The optimized process flow has been applied in the subsequent 190,000 tons dual-fuel bulk carrier project. Through the process data analysis of 8 ships that have completed operations, it is found that the optimized process flow has well solved various problems encountered in the first production project, and the indicators such as operation cycle and material consumption have been significantly improved, minimizing the impact of refueling operations on the company"s production.
