Abstract:The structural strength of marine c-type LNG storage tanks under static transverse tilting condition is addressed in this paper,takes 18m3 marine C-type LNG storage tank as an example, applies SolidWorks modeling, establishes finite element analysis model by Ansys simulation software, and refers to CCS specification, sets the corresponding load boundary conditions under static and transverse tilting condition and carries out simulation calculations, specifically analyzes the stress concentration area of the tank body, and evaluates the stress strengths of each component of the tank in different degrees of static and transverse tilting condition. The results show that the maximum stress intensity of the tank occurs at the head of the inner tank, and the stress intensity of each component is within the permissible value, which provides a reference for the structural design of LNG fuel tanks on related ships.
