Abstract:In order to change the "overall cut and overall feed" production mode for the block steel cutting which will results in large spare parts inventory and long storage cycle, wasting site resources and affecting the efficiency of cut parts material sorting and distribution in shipyard A, this paper discusses the principle of parts’ cutting batch and lane division under the pull of the later lanes’ demand, and establishes the design nesting strategy, combining with site layout and equipment processing characteristics based on the requirements of steel assembly and cutting. The engineering application shows that the scheme can effectively improve the efficiency of parts sorting and assembly, shorten the parts storage cycle, improve the utilization rate of the site, and provide strong support for the lean management of steel cutting in the shipyard.
