Abstract:In order to accurately evaluate the maneuverability and crabbing ability of a cruise ship,a medium-sized cruise ship in concept design phase of the crabbing wind withstanding capability have been studied,considering the cruise ship superstructure is tall,in the calculation model of utilize bow thrust,propeller,and rudder,increase the wind load and torque,preliminary equipment parameters, and calculate maximum wind speed in 13 direction,to perdict cruise maneuverability and crabbing ability.Through calculation and vertification of examples,this evaluation method can clearly and conveniently predict cruise maneuverability and crabbing ability of a cruise ship under different conditions,and provide important support for predicting cruise maneuverability and crabbing ability of cruise ships in concept design phase.
